Francisco (Chico) grew up in the Azores, the small islands off of the coast of Portugal. He moved to Bermuda when he was 21. Chico has 25 years of culinary arts experience in Bermuda, Portugal and Dallas, Texas. Chico has studied with Executive Chef Anton Mosimann of the Rochester Hotel in London (the first chef to bring the first Michelin Star to England at the Rochester Hotel). He also attended the Dallas School of Culinary Arts. Chico is experienced in all aspects of kitchen operations: Chef Saucier, Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef. Some of the notable restaurants Chef Chico has been a part of are: the four-star Voltaire Restaurant (French/Asian cuisine) located in Dallas, and the Wine Spectator Best Award of Excellence winner Four Ways Inn located in Bermuda.
He currently owns & operates the wildly successful Bem Bom Food Truck & catering business, quickly approaching it’s 5-year anniversary.
